What a cruise ship CV checker actually does
Most cruise lines and manning agencies do not read your CV first. Their software does.
An Applicant Tracking System, or ATS, scans your document for structure, keywords and readable text. It scores you before a human sees anything. A strong candidate with the wrong file format can be filtered out automatically, and nobody ever tells you that happened.
A cruise ship CV checker shows you that hidden first step. You see the score, and more useful than the score, you see the reasons behind it.

How to use the cruise ship CV checker step by step

3. Read the written review. This is the part most people skip. It tells you which sections are weak and why a cruise recruiter would pass over them.
4. Fix what you can yourself. Some of it is quick. Clean up your file format. Add your dates. Replace duties with results.
5. Decide whether you need a rewrite. If the structure is the problem, editing around the edges will not fix it.

What the platform will not do
I would rather be straight with you about the limits.
It will not get you hired. It fixes your application, which is one part of a longer process. You still need to find a legitimate manning agency, pass an interview, clear a medical, and wait.
It will not shorten the timeline much. Recruitment usually runs weeks rather than days, and I have written about how long cruise ship recruitment really takes.
It will not tell you to buy STCW training up front. You do not need STCW before you have a confirmed contract, and anyone pushing you to pay for it early is not looking after your interests.
It also will not replace an agency. Agencies still control cruise ship hiring. The tool makes sure that when an agency finally opens your file, the file is worth reading.

It covers shipboard roles broadly. Concession departments such as spa, casino, retail and fitness hire through their own companies, so their process differs, but the CV standards are much the same.
What contract length should I expect?
Most cruise contracts run 6 to 9 months, followed by leave. Working hours are regulated under the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, which sets minimum rest periods.
