Why I Built This
I spent the better part of three decades in this industry — as Executive Officer and Food & Beverage Director on ships with Princess, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean, and as Director of Business Development and Director of Operations at Micros-Fidelio (now Oracle) for Fidelio Cruise Software. In all that time, I saw the same problem play out repeatedly.
Talented, motivated people were applying to cruise lines with CVs written for hotels, restaurants, and offices ashore. They had the experience. But their applications were invisible — formatted for the wrong audience, missing the terminology that cruise recruiters actually look for, and structured in ways that made screeners move on without a second look.
