A quick look at what we shipped over the past two weeks, and why it matters if you are chasing a cruise, river, or yacht contract.
I do not usually write update posts. Most of what changes behind the scenes is small and not worth your time. This time, adding river and yacht careers to the platform is big enough that you should know about it.
River and Yacht Careers Join the Platform
CruiseCareer Pro started as an ocean cruise platform, because that is where I spent my career. But plenty of you have been asking about river cruising and yacht work, and there was nothing built for you.
That changes now. The platform supports three sectors: Ocean, River, and Yacht. River covers 16 cruise lines, including Viking, AmaWaterways, and Scenic, across 9 departments and 44 roles. Yacht covers 9 yacht and charter operators, across 6 departments and 37 roles. Each sector gets its own tailored CV writing, keyword matching, and cruise line specific guidance for cover letters and interview coaching, so a river candidate is not getting advice written for an ocean ship.
We also added a Lifeguards and Aquatics path under Ocean, a department a lot of you have asked about directly.
A CV Should Not Oversell You
We also tightened how the CV generator matches keywords to your experience. Before, the system leaned toward including a skill if there was any chance it applied. Now it leans the other way: a skill only goes on your CV if your real experience actually supports it.
That matters more than it sounds like it does. A CV that oversells you gets you an interview you cannot back up once you are sitting across from a recruiter.
You Can Finally See Exactly What You Get
The most common question I get is some version of “what do I actually get for my money.” So we built a proper Pricing page at cruisecareerpro.com/pricing. Real before and after CV examples. A real before and after CV Evaluation Score. Six template designs you can look through before deciding on anything. Everything starts from six dollars, one time, no subscriptions.
One Link for Everything
Last one: there is now a single link, cruisecareerpro.com/links, that gets you to the free CV Evaluation and Review (including your ATS score), the CareerMatch quiz, the Readiness self-assessment, the Resources Hub, and everything else. The Resources Hub itself got a cleanup too. Free guides, checklists, and spreadsheets now sit above the paid resources, and we added four new free planning spreadsheets covering medical certificate providers, pre-employment costs by country, job ROI by country, and salary versus payback by country.
If you have not run your CV through the free CV Evaluation and Review yet, that is still the best place to start, and it now covers ocean, river, and yacht candidates alike.
If you find this platform useful, you can also join the CruiseCareer Pro affiliate programme and earn commission for every person you refer. Sign up at cruisecareerpro.com/links.
